…people are flat-out stupid?
It seems to me that if the “the average Joe” actually does knows the true definition of the word “Progressive”, “Conservatives are telling ‘them’ that Conservatives stand opposed to everything they hold closest to their hearts – Development, Growth, Advancement and Improvement . Thus… for all intents and purposes, telling the average Joe; “Don’t vote for me, we have nothing in common.” How “smart” (politically or otherwise) is that?
If the average Joe has no clue to the TRUE definition of the word “Progressive”; is ‘this’ a reflection of the un-funded “No Child Left Behind” program?
Conservative first say that "government is broken".
Then they say "change is bad".
It is only logical to assume that they want government to stay broken.

Cons have no idea of ANYTHING.
They view liberalism as stupid, when the dictionary definition of being liberal means you are in favor of social change and justice. In fact, liberals are the ones who stood against the imperial powers of the past and led revolutions such as the Mexican and American revolutions. Conservatives, by definition, are in favor of keeping the status quo and against any and all forms of change. That’s just the definition of conservatism. In fact, if one reads history one will notice that the people in favor of keeping colonies were called conservative at the time, as well as people who wanted to keep their slaves.
Only idiots consider themselves conservatives.

"progressive" has been used for years by the democratic party. It’s a code word for socialist. You can define it anyway you want but that’s what it is.

"Liberal" as a term has been totally discredited and its common knowledge in our culture that it is a "loser" ever since Jimmy Carter.
Most Leftists prefer "Progressive" as it carries positive connotations. Something time cured after a century of "Liberalism"…The people forgot that Progressives brought about the Progressive income tax, The League of nations as a precursor to the U_seless N_ations, and the idea that America needs socialism to level the playing field for all.
