Wachovia to fund Latino group La Raza
The Wachovia Foundation will provide $16.25 million to help economic development in Latino communities in the United States.
The foundation has formed a partnership with the National Council of La Raza. The bank will provide $5 million in grants over five years for counseling in home ownership and community-development efforts.
Wachovia also will provide $1.25 million over five years to sponsor La Raza events and a $10 million loan to fund growth for Raza Development Fund’s lending activities.
"Wachovia’s investment in NCLR will allow us to expand the successful programs we have developed with our nearly 300 community-based affiliates who every day strengthen America by promoting the advancement of Latino communities," says Janet Murguia, president and chief executive of NCLR.
Just like you mentioned! the smart people that run such corporations aren’t idiots that fall into the negative propaganda like a lot of goofy people do on here. La Raza is a well organization that’s here to only help improve our country. They notice that a lot of Hispanics get left behind, and nobody helps them out, so that’s where they come in, that’s all.

I just notified them and dropped my husbands account, it is racism when groups like this only want to help out certain nationalities, i do not care how you look at them they are promoting more racism by doing this. and to help out la raza the most racially motivated group out there is disgusting.

They believe that they will get a high ROI (return on investment), Wachovia is a bank not a political organization. Wachovia is concerned about profit not social programs; they are exploiting the situation for their own gain they are not concerned about right or wrong. If it were profitable to deport illegals they would wholeheartedly be helping out ICE. If a bounty was given for every every illegal deported Wachovia would be one of the first in line to hand over information to ICE.
