With the UAE economy showing no signs of slowing down and the worldwide IT spending growth among SMBs to increase by 7 percent this year, Emirates Computers reckons there will be a great uptake of technologies targeted at the SMB sector. Hence, the company, which is one of the foremost technology companies in the region, has announced an event for Small and Medium businesses in association with its partners Cisco and 3M. At the event, which was held at Murooj Rotana on May 21st, 2008, Emirates Computers, Cisco and 3M will showcase their newest communication products targeted at the SMB sector to a huge number of clients assembled at the half day event.
“Small and medium businesses across the Middle East continue to adopt IT and telecommunications products, and are on track to spend more on information and communications technologies in 2008,” explained Talal Sabih (CISCO product manager) at Emirates Computers. “As demand for third-party services continues to broaden, expenditures for services in other IT categories are
increasing. As SMBs in the Middle East increase their levels of investments in IT, it is equally important to invest in proper communication systems so as to converse optimally with key partners and customers across the region. We believe it is important to increase awareness in this area, and hence the need for such a focused event.” A variety of specialised technologies for the SMB
sector have been showcased at the event. Such technologies include Cisco Unified Communications 500 Series for Small Businesses, Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM) Express 4.x, Cisco Unity Connection 2.0 3M’s 10G Copper Solution that includes Volition Network Solutions, Fibre Interconnect products and Copper Interconnect Solutions.
Cisco Unified Communications 500 Series for Small Businesses allows companies to cost-effectively unify the benefits of voice, video, mobility, and messaging on a single platform and eliminates the need for multiple servers to run each application. Combining the applications on a single platform simplifies the installation, support, and ongoing management of the system, while reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO). It also integrates with existing desktop applications such as calendar, e-mail, and customer relationship management (CRM) programs. The easy-to-manage solution supports up to 48 users in flexible deployment models based on an SMB setup’s needs. Meanwhile, embedded in the Cisco IOS Software that provides call processing for Cisco Unified IP phones, the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express 4.x enables the large portfolio of Cisco access and integrated services routers to deliver a comprehensive set of features commonly used by many businesses.

Real estate is a legal term (in some jurisdictions, such as the USA, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and The Bahamas) that encompasses land along with anything permanently affixed to the land, such as buildings, specifically property that is fixed in location. Real estate law is the body of regulations and legal codes which pertain to such matters under a particular jurisdiction and include things such as commercial and residential real property transactions. Real estate is often considered synonymous with real property (sometimes called realty), in contrast with personal property (sometimes called chattel or personalty under chattel law or personal property law).
However, in some situations the term “real estate” refers to the land and fixtures together, as distinguished from “real property,” referring to ownership of land and appurtenances, including anything of a permanent nature such as structures, trees, minerals, and the interest, benefits, and inherent rights thereof. Real property is typically considered to be Immovable property. The terms real estate and real property are used primarily in common law, while civil law jurisdictions refer instead to immovable property.
A chamber of commerce (also referred to in some circles as a board of trade) is a form of business network, e.g., a local organization of businesses whose goal is to further the interests of businesses. Business owners in towns and cities form these local societies to advocate on behalf of the business community. Local businesses are members, and they elect a board of directors or executive council to set policy for the chamber. The board or council then hires a President, CEO or Executive Director, plus staffing appropriate to size, to run the organization.
The first chambers of commerce were founded in 1599 in continental Europe (Marseille, France and Brugge, Belgium). The world’s oldest English-speaking chamber of commerce is that of New York City, which was established in 1769. The largest chamber of commerce in the UK is the North East Chamber of Commerce with over 4,000 members. The oldest Chamber in the English speaking world with continuous records is the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce founded in 1783.

The ULI was founded in 1936 and currently has over 39,000 members. More than 20% of the members work in government, academia, or public-private partnerships. Most of the rest are involved in the real estate and urban development industries.
The organization makes several awards annually, including the ULI Awards for Excellence, the ULI Gerald D. Hines Student Urban Design Competition, the J. C. Nichols Prize for Visionaries in Urban Development, and the ULI-Kenneth M. Good Graduate Student Fellowship.

Go to http://www.fatlosslifestyle.com & I will teach YOU little known Nutrition Principles that will force you to gain muscle & lose fat faster than ever.
The “Unstable, Rubber Band, Standing Biceps Curl” Exercise is a great exercise. It is an awesome functional, athletic movement for you athletes. The fact that you can not go fast with this movement allows more focus, squeeze, and isolation on the biceps.
It also works the underlying stabilizer muscles incredibly well.
I started doing these types of movements back in 1983. Basic, compound, power-movements for football. We were taught the big 3, squats, dead lift’s, and hang-clean’s.
The “Unstable, Rubber Band, Standing Biceps Curl” Exercise is a vital part of shocking your arms into new growth. This movement really allowed me to take my arms to 20 inches “drug free for life”.
You can work-out till your blue in the face but if you do not incorporate Interval Cardio (done first thing in the morning in a fasted state), intense functional multi-joint, compound exercises, small healthy meals often with protein and carbs combined together, positive mindset, goal setting & social support (you will turn into who you hang around) you will not change your body much.
But if you do focus on the 5 pillars of fitness & health, you will radically change your waistline, your lifestyle, and your life. For more incredible before and after testimonials;

YOUR WAISTLINE DETERMINES YOU ATTITUDE
GET A BETTER BODY; GET A BETTER LIFE!!
The main reason to workout abs is because strong abs will stabilize your lower back and prevent you from an injury; but as a side benefit a 6-pack looks great!
Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding. Bodybuilding doesn’t have to be expensive or take a lot of time, gyms are great but home workouts can save you time and money. A couple of rubber bands & some good exercises is all it takes to get started with your home workouts. You do not need any equipment. In fact most of the clubs are wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars on equipment that is making peoples bodies less functional and worse off.
If you sign up for my free “Reach Your True Potential” Newsletter at

MayorTV is a challenge from America’s Mayors to 2008 candidates: start talking about cities! MayorTV asked Mayor Hanrahan what she thought a national agenda for cities should look like.
Mayor Pegeen Hanrahan sees her city of Gainesville, Florida, as one that needs to build up, not out. And with Florida’s skyrocketing population growth — the state’s population is projected to grow from the current 18 million to 36 million by 2060 — Florida will soon have to listen to Mayor Hanrahan and grow in more sustainable ways.
“The only hope for doing it [growing sustainably] in any sort of way that doesn’t decimate the natural environment is to use our cities more effectively and to build more like a Boston or a Washington or a New York than an Orlando, quite frankly.”
She points out that over 730 mayors have signed on to the Kyoto Protocol, showing that cities are on the frontline of climate change in spite of the federal government’s refusal to act.
But sustainable cities aren’t just good for the environment, says Hanrahan, they’re good for the the people that live there. Quality public schools, comprehensive public transportation, and affordable housing options are vital to urban growth. However, as we build sustainable cities, we need to make them attractive not just environmentally but attractive culturally as well.
“I think the role of the city is to make the city such a wonderful place to live with access to wonderful restaurants and parks and sensible transportation alternatives and sublime arts experiences and so on that people really want to be in the city.”
If you build it, they will come.
